Israel won’t stop its attacks unless Hamas is destroyed – Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen

Tel Aviv: Israel continued heavy air strikes on Hamas targets in Gaza and claimed to have killed 700 people in attacks within 24 hours. At the same time, Hamas fired long-range missiles at Israel’s Aliyah city and Haifa port. The possibility of other countries being drawn into this war is increasing, which is why the United Nations and some countries have raised the demand that Israel should stop its ongoing attacks on Gaza. In response, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen has clarified that Israel’s ongoing attacks will not stop until Hamas is destroyed.

Moreover, Hamas fired long-range ‘R160’ missiles at Israel’s Aliyah city and Haifa port. However, the Israeli Defence Forces spokesperson said these missiles exploded in the air. Besides, the Israeli Defence Forces spokesperson has alleged that Iran is assisting Hamas in this war. Israel has increased the intensity of the ongoing air strikes on Gaza and Wednesday, it claimed that 700 people were killed in Gaza due to the attacks in the last 24 hours. Hamas has claimed that more than five thousand people have been killed in the air strikes carried out by Israel so far on Gaza. Hamas’ machinery provided information that women and children were also included in these.

Besides, concerns are now being expressed that this Israel-Hamas war will be more severe in the future and the possibility of other countries entering it is increasing. Amidst the attacks on Hamas, Israel has also started air strikes in Lebanon and Syria to stop the activities against it. Israel has also carried out air strikes in the West Bank of Palestine.

Thus, it is claimed that Israel may have to fight on many fronts simultaneously in the coming days. Israel has no desire to wage war on a new front amid the ongoing war with Hamas. However, Israel is ready for this if the situation arises, Israeli Defence Forces have said.

Meanwhile, the United Nations and some other countries have demanded that Israel immediately stop the attacks on Gaza. However, Israel has rejected this demand in clear words. Speaking at the Security Council of the United Nations, Israel’s Foreign Minister Eli Cohen made sharp statements in response to the criticism directed at his country. There is criticism that there is no evidence of Israel’s continued action after the Hamas attacks and that this action is of great intensity. However, how can any evidence be given to those who kill the citizens of our country, torture women and brutally kill and burn children, asked the Israeli Foreign Minister.

It is Israel’s right to eliminate Hamas, which carries out such horrific attacks. Rather, Israel must destroy Hamas. This war is not just about Israel. Rather, this is a war launched by the free world against extremism. Today, Hamas is committing violence against Israel; the same Hamas and its allies will soon reach your doorstep, Foreign Minister Cohen warned.
