Last week, the pro-democracy groups, in Hong Kong, secured a record, historic win, in the local elections. The repercussions of the jolt received by the pro-China groups were felt in China and the groups in the ruling communist party believe that some different and aggressive decisions need to be made regarding Hong Kong. Cy Leung, Senior leader of the communist party and Chief Executive of Hong Kong, alleged that there were Dark Forces behind the Hong Kong agitation.

Extent of pro-democracy agitation increases in Hongkong, after the local elections and passing of US law by the USLeung and other members of the communist party, also claimed that the laws passed in the United States are based on a biased outlook and incorrect information. China has taken a very aggressive stance regarding these laws and has even warned of possible action against the United States. At the same time, it was indicated that the support to the Hong Kong administration would continue and multiple options are being made available to the administration.

It is evident from the incidents in the last two days that the Chinese threats have not affected the Hong Kong agitations. Friday, the protestors, once again, took to the streets to demonstrate their strength. Although it was a peaceful rally, it is believed that the number of US flags in the rally could be an incitement for the Chinese rulers.

On the other hand, the participation of the senior citizens and the other age groups in the agitation started once again from Saturday, is significant. The agitation was being handled mainly by the students and youth in Hong Kong. But now citizens of other age groups are seen participating in the agitation and this change could increase the hardships faced by the pro-Chinese administration and the Chinese government.
