Instead, Saudi was a party in the war declared by the Arab countries on the Palestine issue against Israel. At the same time, Saudi has always supported Palestine on every international platform. Saudi had adopted the anti-Israel stand even in the Arab League and Gulf Cooperation Council meetings.

But there have been major changes in the Saudi policies regarding Israel ever since King Salman took over the reins of Saudi and appointed Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman as his defence minister. International media pointed out that Saudi has toned down its aggression against Israel. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed clarified this while speaking to the US magazine.

Moreover, by saying, ‘Saudi believes that the conflict between Israel and Palestine is over,’ Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed stated no key issue against Israel anymore. At the same time, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed clarified that Saudi is not looking at Israel as an enemy but instead as a possible future partner. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed suggested that Saudi and Israel will have to sort out a few issues before this cooperation can be established.

The Middle Eastern media have claimed that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed indicated that cooperation could not be established with Israel unless the Palestine issue is resolved. Whereas, the Israeli analysts are pointing out that just before this, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed said that the Israel-Palestine issue is over. Therefore, the Israeli analysts noted that the Saudi Crown Prince pointed to some other issues.
