Mali military soldiers killed in Al-Qaeda attackMali, in West Africa, has consistently been a victim of terrorism for a few years. Mali had sought military cooperation from western countries for counter-terrorism actions. However, it did not yield any results. After the change of government in Mali last year, the new government gave up military cooperation with the western countries and instead turned to Russian mercenaries.

The western countries criticized the Junta government in Mali for deploying Russian mercenaries. But the Mali government claimed that the counter-terrorism actions were successful after deploying Russian mercenaries. However, Al-Qaeda’s terrorist attacks in Mali have again increased in the last few days. Two days ago, terrorist organization Jamaat Nusrat Al-Islam, an Al-Qaeda affiliate, launched an attack on a military base in Mali.
