Iranian Ambassador threatens Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan -

Tel Aviv/Baku: The tension between Iran and Israel is now reflecting even in foreign countries. The Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan threatened to bury the Israeli Ambassador. This Iranian reaction came following a social media post by the Israeli Ambassador. After that, Israeli media started criticising the Iranian embassies in foreign countries that are filled with extremists.

Four days ago, George Deek, Israeli Ambassador for Azerbaijan and the central Asian countries, posted certain text on social media. The post read ‘I’m learning so much about Azerbaijani history and culture in Tabriz in this great book I was recently presented. What are you guys reading these days?’ He also posted the photograph of the book ‘Mysterious Tales of Tabriz’.

Seyed Abbas Mousavi, the Iranian Ambassador in Azerbaijan, objected to the post of the Israeli Ambassador. Mousavi reminded that Tabriz is a city in Iran. The Iranian Ambassador warned that Israel should not cross its limits, or the people of Tabriz would bury the Israeli Ambassador.

Tabriz is a city in Iran near the Azerbaijan border. Tabriz is the capital of the East Azerbaijan province in Iran and the people of Tabriz also speak the Azeri language. Therefore, the Iranian Ambassador expressed annoyance as the Israeli Ambassador mentioned Tabriz. Reactions are being received from Israel over the threat issued by Ambassador Musavi. Israeli analysts are pointing to the threat issued by Iran to Sweden a few days ago to kidnap Swedish tourists after Sweden arrested a few Iranian terrorists.

Israel and Azerbaijan share friendly relations. Azerbaijan has purchased weapons worth billions of dollars from Israel over the last few years. Azerbaijan used these weapons in the war against Armenia. While supplying weapons to Azerbaijan, Israel is purchasing oil from the central Asian countries. Meanwhile, Iran accused Israel last year of deploying its military in Azerbaijan. After that, Iran increased the military deployment on the Azerbaijan border. Azerbaijan dismissed the Iranian accusations. But Iran is looking at the cooperation between Israel and Azerbaijan with suspicion.
