Arab nations and Israel plot to kill General Soleimani foiled, claims Iran government

Third World WarTehran: The Iranian government asserted that it had foiled a plot to kill General Qassem Soleimani, the chief of Iran’s Quds Force. The Force is currently operational in Syria and Iraq. Also, the government alleged that the assassination plot of General Soleimani was hatched jointly, by the Arab and Israeli agencies. The Iranian agencies informed arresting three people in connection to the case.

Arab nations and Israel plot to kill General Soleimani foiled, claims Iran governmentHussein Taeb, the head intelligence department of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), informed that “the plot to assassinate General Soleimani was hatched in the first week of September. For its execution, the suspects had planned to dig tunnels and plant 500 kg of explosives in them. The plan was to cause massive destruction using explosives on such an extensive scale”.

Only two days ago, General Soleimani disclosed that the Israeli military had tried to assassinate Soleimani and Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah during the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah conflict.
