Suicide bomb attack near Russia’s internal security office in North Caucasus 

Moscow: – A terror attack was carried out near the office of the Russian internal security agency in the North Caucasus region. The attacker was killed, and six people, including a senior official from the internal security agency, were injured. Only a few days ago, the Russian internal security agency FSB and the counter-terrorism department had claimed to have thwarted 40 terror attacks during this year.

A search operation was being carried out in the Karachay-Cherkessia province in the North Caucasus region. The attacker went near the team of the internal security agency during the search operation. When the soldiers tried to stop him, the attacker shouted slogans loudly and triggered an explosion of a bomb on him. The terrorist was killed on the spot, and six others were injured. Sources informed that the injured include a senior official from the internal security department.   

Although it is claimed that the attacker has been identified, the identity has not been revealed. But it is being said that he is associated with extremist and terrorist groups. As per information, there had been another blast, a few hours before this explosion. The link between the two explosions is being verified. Only a few days ago, FAB and National Anti-Terrorism committee had announced that 41 terror attacks were foiled in the last one year.    

Extremists and terrorist groups have their influence in the North Caucasus region of Russia. A few months ago, the Russian intelligence agencies had warned that there could be attacks in the Central Asian countries, carried out by the terrorists, who participated in the Armenian-Azerbaijan war.
