Russia is willing to cooperate as per the convention to ban chemical weapons. Britain also has to cooperate for that. When the British government started to make allegations against Russia in the Skripal case, we had requested for the chemical analysis of the constituents.’

Russian Foreign Ministry has issued a separate statement on this issue. The Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Maria Zakharova lashed out at Britain by saying, ‘The inference seems to have been already drawn in this matter. The whole chronology of events is a part of the promotions and political campaigns with a view to incite Russia. The statement of the British Prime Minister in the parliamentary hearing is nothing but a Circus show. Before starting a new fairy-tale, Britain should publish the details of the previous investigations in the Litvinenko, Berezovsky and Perepilichny cases.’

Some media houses tried to get a reaction from the Russian President Vladimir Putin after the British Prime Minister’s accusations in the parliament. However, a British daily has reported that the Russian President avoided the question with a smile.
