Jerusalem: – As per received reports, Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz went on a secret visit to Jordan and met King Abdullah. A few hours ago, reports had been published regarding the talks between Israel, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain for forming an independent military front. The Gantz-King Abdullah meeting attains significant strategic importance against this background.
An Israeli newspaper carried this report regarding the meeting between Israel‘s Defence Minister Gantz and King Abdullah of Jordan. But the timing of the meeting has not been revealed. The Israeli newspaper claimed that Gantz met the King of Jordan against the background of Israel’s political developments. The concerned newspaper reminded that a few days ago, Israeli Foreign Minister Ashkenazi also had met the King of Jordan.
Israel, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain are coming together against the Iranian threat. A leading Israeli news channel had published a report, only two days ago, that discussions are being held between Israel, Saudi Arabia and its Arab allies to form a joint military front to counter the Iranian threat.
