While speaking on a podcast, Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his views on the Abraham Accords, Saudi Arabia, and Russia.

Israel-Saudi normalisation would end the Palestine issue – Israel’s PM-elect Benjamin NetanyahuThe UAE, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco have signed the Abraham agreement with Israel. Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his views that this would not have been possible without Saudi consent. Hence Netanyahu claims that Saudi Arabia was positive about this cooperation.

Netanyahu claims that if Israel and Saudi Arabia could establish cooperation, then all issues could be resolved. It would open avenues for opportunities like rail service to Saudi Arabia, trade and leveraging the technology and innovation of Israel. During the previous tenure, Netanyahu claimed that other countries in the Middle East were keen to join the Abraham Accords, including Saudi Arabia.

Although there seems to be no evident cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Israel, there were reports in the western media that the officials and establishments have covertly cooperated in the past. There was information about the meeting of the officials from Israel and Saudi Arabia on the sidelines of security council meetings in New York and London. News media have claimed that the issue of Iran is the common ground for Israel and Saudi Arabia on which there is a cooperation between the two countries. In November 2020, Israeli media reported that Netanyahu paid a secret visit to the Saudi city of Neom and met Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. However, the countries did not give any reaction to this.
