Beijing: – Israel has expressed strong displeasure over the Chinese government news channel’s statements regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict. In Beijing, the Israeli embassy criticised that the spiteful statements made on the Chinese official government news channel against Israel and the Jewish people are deplorable. Moreover, reports are being received that Israel is withdrawing its investments worth billions of dollars from China.
For the last three weeks, the Chinese communist regime and the government media have been consistently targeting Israel. In the beginning of this month, the Chinese embassy in Japan posted a cartoon on social media. The cartoon showed an attacker with the Israeli flag in one hand and a weapon in the other. The Israeli Ambassador to Japan took immediate cognisance of the cartoon and reprimanded the Chinese Ambassador. The Chinese Ambassador withdrew the cartoon after this. Within the next ten days, China attempted to bring a resolution against Israel to the UN Security Council. The resolution could not be passed given the use of Veto by the United States. China had heavily criticised the United States over this issue.
On Tuesday, the Chinese government news channel presented a program regarding the failure in the UN Security Council. Newsreader Zheng Junfeng made spiteful statements like the US foreign policy is in the hands of the financially powerful Jewish lobby. Therefore, the United States cannot take any decisions against Israel. In Beijing, the Israeli embassy expressed strong objection to the statements made on this government news channel, which presents the stand of the Chinese regime.
The Israeli embassy lashed out, ‘We were under the impression that the times of the prattles that the Jews control the world, are over. But some countries still hate Jews. It is evident from the spiteful statements made on the Chinese government news channel.’
