Iran holds military exercises to attack Dimona nuclear plant in Israel

Tehran: – Iran’s Revolutionary Guards had warned Israel that it would chop off its hands if it considered attacking Iran. Iran appears to be moving in that direction by holding exercises for launching missile strikes on Israel’s Dimona nuclear plant. Moreover, the discussions on the nuclear deal in Vienna are starting afresh from Monday. Before this, Iran had provoked Israel by releasing a video of the exercise.

Last week, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards organized a five-day exercise. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards tested short-range and long-range ballistic missiles during the exercise. The Iranian military also released photographs of exercises with rocket launchers and tanks. Revolutionary Guards reportedly carried out the exercise for surveillance and testing of attack and suicide drones.

General Hossein Salami, the head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, and Major General Mohammad Bagheri, the head of the army, had threatened Israel given this exercise. Senior Iranian military officials had warned that there is hardly any difference between the exercise and actual military action. The missiles could land in Israel only with a change in direction.

Less than two days later, news channels affiliated with the Iranian military released a video of the exercise. It showed 16 Iranian missiles crashing into a nuclear plant one after another. Iranian missiles targeted the project’s reactors and ventilation shafts. The video also showed five Iranian suicide drones crashing into the plant, adding to the intensity of the attack.

There is no mention of the concerned project in the video. But it is alleged that Iran is warning that the Dimona, meaning the Shimon Peres Negev, is the target of this exercise. It is being said that Iran has warned through the video that its missiles, drones and destroyers are ready for this project. The Israeli media are pointing to the timing of the exercise. A few days ago, senior Israeli officials claimed that Israeli warplanes were ready to launch airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities. Whatever the outcome of the talks in Vienna, Israeli leaders have announced that Israel will launch an attack on Iran’s nuclear projects. It was also reported that the day has also been fixed for it.

But the Biden administration has warned Israel not to rush into an attack on Iran. Besides, Iran has also ridiculed that Israel could not launch an attack on Iran without US permission. But at the same time, Iranian leaders had said they did not need anyone’s permission to launch an attack on Israel. In this scenario, Iran appears to have issued a new threat to Israel by releasing the video.
