In 2015, the agreement, Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), was signed regarding the Iranian nuclear program. Iran had agreed in the JCPOA, signed with the United States, Russia, France, Germany, China and the United Kingdom, not to produce nuclear weapons. But Israel, Saudi Arabia and the other Middle East countries were accusing that Iran was secretly continuing work on its hidden agenda to make nuclear weapons. The recent report published by the IAEA confirms the accusations.

IAEA announced that Iran has successfully produced Uranium metal. IAEA pointed out that producing Uranium metal means reaching a step closer to the nuclear bomb. After that, reactions were received even from a country like Russia, who has been supporting Iran. Russia demanded that Iran should immediately stop this process and abide by the nuclear deal. After that, now, France, Germany and the United Kingdom also have issued a warning. The joint statement issued by these three expresses serious concerns over the Iranian nuclear program.

As per the JCPOA, Iran cannot develop or even research the Uranium metal and Uranium metallurgy for the next 15 years. Doing that amounts to a violation of the nuclear deal and Iran will not give any credible explanation regarding this. Therefore, France, Germany and the United Kingdom have demanded that Iran should immediately stop the process. France, Germany and the United Kingdom have also warned that Iran is creating obstacles even in the political dialogue regarding the Its nuclear program.

Talks are rife that New US President Joe Biden has started preparations to sign a new nuclear deal with Iran. But the Biden administration has appealed that Iran should abide by the old nuclear agreement for this. But Iran is firm on implementing the JCPOA on its terms. Iran had given a deadline of two weeks to the Biden administration. But now, France, Germany and the United Kingdom, who are a part of the JCPOA, have started openly accepting that Iran is violating the agreement. This has made the path for the new nuclear deal with Iran more arduous. At the same time, it is becoming increasingly difficult for the western countries to stop an attack on Iran by Israel, who has announced that it will not allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons under any circumstances. The tension in the Gulf region is increasing further as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the other allies from the Gulf have decided to stand by Israel to counter the Iranian threat.
