The African Union, the United States, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Germany and Qatar strongly condemned the Mogadishu blast. For the past 15 years, al-Shabaab has been trying to take control of Somalia. It is claimed that more than 10 thousand people have been killed in Somalia so far in the attacks of this terrorist organisation.

Countries such as the United States, the African Union and Kenya have assisted on a big scale to Somalia to end the Al-Shabaab menace. However, despite the ongoing military campaign since the last decade, Al-Shabaab’s activities have not stopped. It was clear from the attacks in the capital Mogadishu.

Discontent is rising in Somalia against these attacks by Al-Shabaab and the pressure on President Hassan Sheikh is increasing. Against this backdrop, Somalia’s military launched a major operation in Adanyabal on Friday. Terrorists from Al-Shabaab and local groups linked to this organisation tried to stop the attacks of the Somalian army. But the Al-Shabaab terrorists found themselves in difficulty due to the airstrikes carried out by the Somalian air force. The Somalian Army claims to have eliminated more than 100 terrorists in this operation.
