US and British warships hold joint war exercises in the South China Sea region

Third World WarTokyo: While China is speaking a language of sinking the US warships in the South China Sea, the United States has retaliated by holding war exercises in the marine region. The US navy informed that the US Navy held joint exercises with the British navy in the South China Sea Region. The international media are claiming that the United States has issued a warning to China by holding joint war exercises in the South China Sea for the first time in eight years.

Only last week, war exercises were held for five days, from Friday to Wednesday. The US Navy announced this after the completion of these exercises on Wednesday. The USS McCampbell from the seventh fleet of the US Navy and HMS Argyll of the British navy, on its visit to the Asian countries, participated in the exercises. The US navy informed that the exercises were held over the last five days, considering the various challenges that could be posed.

US; UK, joint war exercisesIt was not clear as to near which islands in the South China Sea, these exercises were held. But these were the first joint exercises held between warships of two countries, in the South China Sea. Before this, a joint exercise was conducted in 2010 in this region. But after that, from the time China claimed complete rights over this region and started building artificial islands in the region and militarising them, the tension in the region had increased. No war exercises had been organised in the region as China was objecting even to voyages of foreign warships through the region.

The western analysts claimed that the United States and the United Kingdom had challenged China by holding war exercises in the South China Sea. A vitriolic reaction is expected from China in the matter. China has vehemently opposed all the movements of the United States in the South China Sea, claiming complete rights over the region. The Chinese military officials and analysts are speaking a language of teaching a lesson to the United States.

Meanwhile, senior Chinese officials have advised that if China wants to take control of the South China Sea, it will have to sink two US aircraft carriers. Chinese President Xi Jinping also has advised the military to be in a state of readiness for war. Reports are being received that China has increased its level of preparedness on its militarised Islands in this region. Against this background, the tension in the region has increased further because of the US joint exercises.

The United Kingdom also has instigated China by participating in the joint war exercises in the South China Sea with the United States. Before this, in August, the United Kingdom had sent its warship to the South China Sea, raising the issue of freedom of international freight movement. After that, the United Kingdom has made it clear that it stands on the side of the United States by sending its warships to participate in the joint war exercises in the South China Sea.
