A terror-sponsor state like Turkey should not lecture Israel

Besides, Turkey had appealed to the United States to stop Israel’s military action against Hamas. Turkey had alleged that Israel was attacking the Gaza Strip because of the US support.

While speaking at a meeting held in Turkey, President Erdogan criticized Israel as a terrorist state, accusing it of preparing to destroy Gaza City. Erdogan also announced to file a petition in the International Court of Justice against Israel’s political leadership and military officials who issued orders to take military action in the Gaza Strip. After Turkish local, and Qatari and Iranian media gave prominence to this news, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the allegations made by Erdogan.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Netanyahu said ‘President Erdogan, who is accusing Israel of terrorism, is himself a big sponsor of the terrorist organization Hamas. At the same time, Israel does not need to take instructions from Erdogan, who attacks its people and cities.’ In the last few years, Erdogan openly held meetings with senior Hamas leaders in the capital, Ankara. Along with this, by declaring support for the Hamas government in the Gaza Strip, it also provided financial assistance.

Meanwhile, Erdogan had also given orders to carry out air strikes on Kurdish settlements in Turkey. The Israeli Prime Minister also drew attention to the recorded incidents of Kurdish buildings being set on fire at the behest of Erdogan.
