In 2020, chief Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was shot dead in the capital Tehran. There had been a suspicious blast in the Natanz nuclear project in Iran in the same year. Iran had been rocked by these incidents connected to the Iranian nuclear program. Iran had accused the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad was responsible for the assassination of Fakhrizadeh and the blast in the Natanz nuclear project. Iran had also threatened that Israel would have to pay a dear price for these acts.

Since the last few months, a spate of suspicious attacks has started on the Iranian nuclear program, military and officials and locations linked to the Revolutionary Guards. In February, a warehouse of the Revolutionary Guards in Kermanshah caught fire. Whereas Colonel Hassan Sayyad Khodaei, a senior official from the Revolutionary Guards, was shot dead by unidentified assailants near his home. The spate of killing officials and soldiers linked to the Revolutionary Guards and Quds forces is continuing.

Four days ago, two soldiers from the aerospace department of the Revolutionary Guards were killed. It is claimed that the Revolutionary Guards are hiding the information regarding the death of these soldiers working on drone technology. Iran has said that its soldiers were killed during separate practice exercises. But the Iranian media are expressing a doubt that adversaries of Iran have killed these Iranian soldiers. Within two days of this, there was an explosion followed by a massive fire in a chemical factory in Firozabad.

The Iranian government news agency informed that this fire was caused due to a gas leak from one of the tanks. But the Iranian analysts are claiming that this incident in the factory linked to the Revolutionary Guards was sabotage and not an accident. As per Israeli media, Iran is infuriated given the attacks on the Iranian military officials, scientists and ultrasensitive locations. Iran can launch attacks on Israeli citizens and interests in other countries to avenge these attacks. Against this background, Israel has advised its citizens in Turkey to be cautious.
