conflict between Libyan and rebels 100 soldiers of Libyan military killed

Tripoli: More than 100 soldiers of the Libyan military were killed in the ongoing conflict between the government forces and the rebels for control over capital Tripoli. An Arabic magazine claimed that the Libyan military is being led by Turkey. A few days ago, it was reported that Turkish mercenaries were assisting the Libyan military.

The conflict between the forces of Fayez Al-Sarraj and rebel leader General Khalifa Haftar has intensified. The rebels have attacked capital Tripoli, after gaining control over the eastern part of the country. The fighter jets of the rebels have been attacking the Libyan military locations and a dreadful conflict ongoing in Salah-Al Din, Ein Zara and Aziziya regions of Tripoli.

It has been reported that a minimum of 110 people has been killed in the conflict that flared up in the last two days. The rebels claimed that 90 soldiers of the Libyan military were killed and 150 were injured. The rebels informed that the soldiers from the mercenary group of Osama al-Juwaili, fighting for Prime Minister Sarraj were killed.

Nevertheless, it was reported that 20 soldiers of the Libyan military were killed in an airstrike carried out by the rebels on Sunday night. The rebels also said that four vehicles of the Libyan military were destroyed in the attack. At the same time, the rebels announced capturing of large Libyan territories attacking the Libyan military. The Libyan military claimed that a significant jolt was delivered to the rebels fighting under General Khalifa Haftar.

Fierce conflict is going on between the Libyan military and the rebels for control over capital Tripoli, since the last five months. Thousands have been killed, and more than 125,000 have been displaced, in the conflict. The Haftar rebels have been blaming the Sarraj government for the conflict. The rebels have been accusing Sarraj of trying to re-establish a military government in Libya, with the help of the Muslim Brotherhood and Turkey.

Reports have been published that Turkey has made massive military movements to save the Sarraj government in Libya. Turkey attacked the rebels using laser systems and drones, whereas, a few days ago, it is reported that Turkish mercenaries had been deployed in Libya. The United Arab Emirates backs Haftar rebels. Therefore, the conflict has prolonged with an increase in casualties. The balance of the conflict sometimes shifts, in favour of the Libyan forces and sometimes in support of the rebels, the reason behind this being the participation of Turkey and UAE, it seems
