Ten Pakistani smugglers arrested with drugs worth Rs 300 crores near Gujarat coast

Ahmedabad: 300 crores worth of drugs and weapons were seized along with 10 Pakistani nationals travelling in a Pakistani boat near Gujarat’s Okha Port. The Coast Guard and the Anti-Terrorism Squad of Gujarat carried out the operation. In the last one and a half years, the Coast Guard has seized drugs worth around two thousand crores from Gujarat’s marine area. Also, 44 Pakistani and seven Iranian smugglers were arrested during this operation.

The Coast Guard was informed about this. After this, suspicious movements were monitored. On Monday, the Coast Guard spotted suspicious activity near the Okha coast. After spotting the Pakistani boat named ‘Al Soheli’, the Coast Guard sent its vessel towards it and warned the Pakistani boat to stop. But, as soon as the boat started moving towards Pakistan without stopping, the Coast Guard fired in the air.

Ten Pakistani nationals in this boat were detained and weapons were seized from them. 40 kg of narcotic drugs worth Rs 300 crore were seized from them. This includes six pistols and a large quantity of ammunition.
