Senior Bahrain leader admits to ‘active’ presence of Israeli Mossad agents in the country  

Munich: – Israel and Bahrain have a defence cooperation agreement and under this, exchange of confidential information is being done. Deputy Foreign Minister of Bahrain Sheikh Abdullah Bin Ahmed Al Khalifa openly confessed that the agents of Mossad, the Israeli intelligence agency are operational in Bahrain and the sector. The Bahrain Minister gave this information while addressing the Munich Security Conference. Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz also was present during the meeting.

During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Ahmed Al Khalifa clarified that the cooperation between Israel and Bahrain is necessary to maintain stability and security in the sector. This cooperation is vital for the security of the population. At the same time, Sheikh Abdullah endorsed the local media claim that the Mossad Chief visited Bahrain. Sheikh Abdullah informed that this security and intelligence agencies cooperation is being carried out under the Abraham agreement signed between Israel and Bahrain. Sheikh Abdullah said that the cooperation would continue even in the coming times.   

Israeli Defence Minister, who was also participating in the Security Conference and Sheikh Abdullah, visited Bahrain a few days ago. Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett also had visited Bahrain and held important discussions with King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa. Moreover, Israel designated a naval official in Bahrain a few days ago. The Middle Eastern media and analysts claim that the cooperation between Israel and Arab countries is increasing, given the increasing Iranian threat.   

Meanwhile, reports have been received that the Israeli secret agents are operational in Arab-Middle Eastern countries. Reports and photographs of the discussions between officials from the Israeli intelligence agency and leaders from Saudi Arabian and its Arab allies during the meetings held in the United States and the United Kingdom have been published. Western media had also claimed that secret cooperation had already started between Mossad and Arab intelligence agencies. The announcement made by an Arab leader during a security conference in the presence of an Israeli leader becomes noteworthy.
