Israel takes action against terrorist organisations, including Hamas -

Jerusalem: The Israeli security forces targeted Hamas and the affiliated terrorist organisations in various actions taken in the Gaza Strip and West Bank on Sunday morning. Israel navy seized a large arms haul during a raid on one Hamas ship that entered the Gaza marine region. Around the same time, the Israeli Special Forces killed two terrorists in action taken in the West Bank.

The Israeli navy took action against a ship illegally reaching the Gaza Strip from Egypt. On Saturday night, the ship which left Sinai province in Egypt tried to enter the prohibited area in the Gaza marine region. Israeli soldiers opened fire as the ship continued its voyage despite various warnings issued by the Israeli navy. After that, the vessel was seized by the Israeli military. As per received information, anti-tank missiles and other weapons were being carried to a Hamas location in the Gaza Strip.

At the beginning of the year, the Israeli navy had busted a similar attempt of weapons smuggling. Earlier, Hamas terrorists smuggled weapons through underground tunnels from the Sinai province in Egypt. After the Israeli military destroyed these tunnels, Hamas terrorists started using the marine route for smuggling weapons.

On one side, the Israeli navy was busting the weapons smuggling attempt. On the other side, the Israeli Special Forces were taking action against Hamas terrorists in the Nablus region of the West Bank. The Israeli military planned this action to arrest the terrorists accused of firing at an Israeli security agency. But as the terrorists opened fire, the Special Forces had to take action. It is said that two terrorists were killed and six were injured.

Meanwhile, there are major political upheavals in the Gulf region. Israel has initiated rapid moves to establish cooperation with the Arab countries. The activities have gained momentum because of the Abraham agreement, and the Arab countries have initiated actions to develop collaboration with Israel, even in the defence sector.

Iran is warning that if the Arab countries establish such defence cooperation with Israel, it will have dire consequences for the region. Israel and Arab-Gulf countries are building a strong front against the possible Iranian threat. To counter this move, Iran has prepared to provide all the possible support to Hamas and other terrorist organisations bitterly opposed to Israel.
