In 2019, Trump allocated $2 billion to change the equipment supplied by the Chinese telecommunication companies. These included leading Chinese companies Huawei and ZTE. Moreover, China Telecom and other drone and security camera manufacturers were also blacklisted. But the actions against China slowed down after Joe Biden took over as the US President.
