Kuwait City: Israel has turned its attention to the Houthi rebels, after carrying out attacks on the bases of Iran, Hezbollah and Iran affiliated extremist groups. Al Jarida, a newspaper in Kuwait, claimed that soon the Israeli fighter jets would initiate attacks on the Houthi rebels in Yemen. The newspaper said that Israel would take this action, to stop the Iranian arms smuggling.
The Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad and military intelligence agency are keeping a close watch, on the Iranian arms smuggling. Iran can carry out this smuggling through the strait of Bab El Mandeb, near the southeast border of Yemen, with the help of Hezbollah and the Houthi rebels. The Kuwaiti newspaper claimed that the Houthi rebels and Hezbollah are preparing to smuggle missiles and drones through this marine sector, which lies between the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea.
With this smuggling, Iran has planned to target the network of oil tankers and freight ships passing through the Red Sea region. Therefore, Israel has planned to attack this very region. The Kuwaiti newspaper published that the Israeli action will start as soon as the Iranian missiles and drones reach Bab El Mandeb.
Israel has not reacted on this news report. At the same time, Israel has also maintained silence about the attacks in Syria and Iraq, in the last two months. But the Israeli Prime Minister had indicated that the action on the bases of Iran, speaking the language of the annihilation of Israel, will continue.
Even in the past, Israeli leaders had announced to attack the locations of Iran, smuggling arms for Hezbollah and the other terrorist outfits, preparing for an attack on Israel. Israel had announced that it had carried out more than 200 airstrikes on the locations of Iran, Hezbollah and Iran affiliated groups.
Meanwhile, the United States and Saudi Arabia had accused that the Houthi rebels in Yemen are receiving large scale financial and arms aid from Iran. Saudi navy had also seized an Iranian ship carrying arms for the Houthi rebels. At the same time, it has been exposed that the missiles and drones used by the Houthi rebels, to carry out attacks in Saudi Arabia, were of Iranian make.
It was reported last week that the leaders of the Houthi rebels visited Iran and met Iranian supremo Ayatollah Khamenei. The Middle Eastern media have claimed that there was a meeting held between the Houthi rebels, Hezbollah and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. A possibility is being expressed that a major sabotage was planned during the meeting between the Houthi rebels, Hezbollah and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. Against this background, the seriousness of the report claiming that Israel is preparing to attack the Houthi rebels from Yemen and Hezbollah increases further.
