Iran reveals information about its underground airbase

Tehran: Iran announces an underground airbase that deploys fighter and bomber planes and drones. Iran’s state news agency released photographs of the covert airbase. It also included fighter jets armed with long-range missiles capable of penetrating enemy air defences. Therefore, it has been claimed through this news that Iran has warned the US and Israel, who have been conducting war exercises against it with bombers. It seems that through this, Iran has delivered a message that even if attacks target its military bases, it will retaliate against its enemy countries with the help of these hidden bases.

Iranian authorities had blamed Israel and Kurdish rebels in the country for the attack on the factory in the heart of Iran. Iran also had warned of a timely response to the attack on Isfahan. Earlier, there were drone attacks on cities near the coast of Iran. Moreover, Iran blamed Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad for this. But the city of Isfahan is in central Iran; hence, international analysts have been claiming that the enemies of Iran demonstrated their power by attacking Isfahan.

At the same time, it had been claimed that Israel increased the pressure on Iran by announcing a consensus between Israel and the West on the issue of Iran’s nuclear programme. But on Tuesday, Iran’s state-run news agency released the news and photographs of the first underground airbase, ‘Oghab 44’ or ‘Eagle 44’. Furthermore, Iran’s military has not disclosed the location of the airbase. But it also shows that the head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, Major General Mohammad Bagheri and Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, visited this secret airbase.

In addition, Iran has given a message in the video that the armed fighter jets in this secret airbase can easily operate and take off in any situation, day and night. Surrounded by mountains and within the mountains, it is the largest underground air base of the Iranian Air Force, the news agency said.

Meanwhile, the Iranian news agency reported that Iran has been working on underground military bases for the past few decades. A few years ago, Iran released photographs and videos of a missile unit deployed in an underground military base. Besides, Iran also announced that it had deployed surveillance and attack drones at another underground base in May last year. Additionally, Iran claims that enemy missiles cannot penetrate their underground bases.
