Iran can smuggle weapons under the pretext of providing aid to earthquake victims in Syria – International analyst warns

Tel Aviv: Iran has a history of smuggling Quds Force personnel, intelligence agents and weapons into Lebanon under the guise of humanitarian aid. Therefore, under the pretext of assisting the earthquake victims in Syria, Iran can once again smuggle weapons and the international community should be careful about this, warned Jason Brodsky.

Iran can smuggle weapons under the pretext of providing aid to earthquake victims in Syria - International analyst warnsA catastrophic earthquake centred in Turkey three days ago has also shaken Syria. This earthquake has added to the crisis in Syria, which has been raging in civil war for the past few years. Like Turkey, the flow of aid from the international level continues for Syria. An Iranian cargo plane has also landed in the Syrian capital, Damascus, carrying aid for earthquake victims in Syria.

But Jason Brodsky, the director of the organisation United Against a Nuclear Iran, explained to the Israeli news channel that it is necessary to keep a close eye on this assistance of Iran. Brodsky pointed out that during the 1990s conflict in Bosnia, a Revolutionary Guards officer himself admitted to such smuggling by Iran. At the same time, Brodsky also said that the local Iranian people are angry with the Iranian regime, which sends aid to Turkey and Syria.
