Five terrorists killed in separate encounters with security forces in J&K

Srinagar: Five terrorists were killed in two separate encounters, with the security forces, in Jammu-Kashmir. Three were killed in Pulwama and two were killed in Shopian district.

The security forces received a tipoff that the terrorists were present in the Hakaripora and Kakapora areas of the Pulwama district. The Army, CRFP and Jammu-Kashmir police launched a joint operation, based on the information. During the search operation, the terrorists opened fire, on the first sight of the security forces. The soldiers gave a fitting reply to the terrorists. Three terrorists were eliminated in the encounter that ensued. The corpses of the terrorists have been recovered from the site of the encounter. The officials said that 3 AK-47 rifles were seized from the location.

There was an encounter between the security forces and terrorists in the Shopian district too, along with Pulwama. Two terrorists were killed in this encounter. One AK-47 and one pistol have been recovered from these terrorists. The terrorist organisations have been rocked, given the campaign launched by the security forces against them. A large number of terrorists have been eliminated, in this year, and the intrusion incidents also have been stopped.
