Defence Minister Rajnath Singh warns Pakistan after Jammu-Kashmir visit

New Delhi: Indian Defence Minister Raj Nath Singh, followed up his Ladakh visit, with a visit to Jammu-Kashmir. Analysts believe that the Defence Minister delivered a message to Pakistan by visiting Jammu-Kashmir after the Ladakh visit. The cross-border firing has increased from the Pakistan side, following the Galwan Valley conflict between India and China. The intelligence agencies had warned of possible attacks, by the Border Action Team of Pakistan, near the Line of Control, in the Keran sector. As per analysts, Defence Minister Raj Nath Singh has delivered a strong message to Pakistan, that no misadventure will be tolerated, with his visit to the Keran sector. Following the visit to Ladakh, the Defence Minister visited the Amarnath temple on Saturday. Thereafter, he visited the Line of Control. He also visited the Keran Sector, where there is continuous cross-border firing by Pakistan, since the last few days.

Defence Minister Raj Nath Singh reviewed the preparedness of the military on the Chinese and Pakistani borders. At the same time, he also reviewed the preparedness of the military for counter-terrorism actions. The simultaneous preparations for conflict against China, Pakistan and Terrorism, has been named as ‘Conflict on Two and a Half Fronts’, by the Indian military. As per analysts, this visit of the Defence Minister delivers a message that India is prepared for it.

Defence Chief General Bipin Rawat, Chief of Army Staff General MM Naravane and senior military officials, accompanied the Defence Minister during the visit. This is the fourth visit of Army Chief General MM Naravane to the state of Jammu-Kashmir in the last few days.
