China upset after India bans 54 Chinese apps

Beijing/New Delhi – India banned 54 more Chinese apps accusing they pose a threat to national security. The Indian agencies carried out raids on the Chinese company Huawei after this. The Chinese commerce ministry has accused India of oppression against the Chinese companies. The Chinese commerce ministry expressed hope that India will seek legitimate and fair treatment of Chinese companies.

Gao Feng, the spokesman of the Chinese commerce ministry, expressed his country’s displeasure saying, ‘We hope India can take concrete measures to maintain the sound development momentum of bilateral economic and trade cooperation.’ At this time, Feng criticised India over the raids at the Huawei offices.

Moreover, Fend fired a salvo of criticism, ‘Indian agencies are implementing an oppressive policy against the Chinese companies. This is a very concerning and serious matter for China.’ The Chinese media also took cognisance of the Indian action in strong words. The government daily, the Global Times, claimed that the ban on the Chinese apps would result in losses to India.

Over the last two years, the relations have been tense between India and China over the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and India has accused China is not fulfilling the promises made. India has adopted strict policies on the economic and trade front to counter the Chinese inflexibility and severe jolts are being felt in the Chinese economy.
