India endangered of being attacked from all fronts due to rising Chinese activities: Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari

New Delhi – Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari warned that China is the biggest and the long-term threat for India to achieve its strategic objectives. Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari warned that India could face attacks on all the fronts with the context of China and Pakistan enhancing their military strengths. The Indian defence policies are based on destabilised neighbour and unresolved border disputes, which could trigger a conflict, said the Air Chief Marshal.

India, China, India-China conflict, Air Chief,Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari raised concern on increasing Chinese activities while speaking at the 18th Subrato Roy Seminar organised by the think tank ‘Centre for Air Power Studies’. China is carrying out activities intending to increase its influence internationally and in the region and challenge India’s position. China could attempt to keep India entangled in the border disputes. China is building airbases and making deployments on a large scale in the Tibetan region, reflecting Chinese aggression, warned the Air Chief Marshal.

Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari pointed out that even Pakistan is augmenting its air defences. However, he clarified that China remains the biggest threat to India despite this. He warned that India faces the danger of being attacked on all fronts in the future.

The Air Chief Marshal also warned that the enemy could use diplomatic isolation, economic cornering and cyberattacks for this purpose. He also pointed out a need to modernise soon and enhance the Indian Air force.
