Dubai: Massive plot of attack in public places and army bases in Bahrain has been foiled. A terrorist outfit backed by Iran plotted this attack. As per the report by Iran interior ministry, these attacks were conspired to avenge the killing of General Qassem Soleimani. Besides, a few hours ago, a senior Iran military official had threatened to attack the US bases in the Middle East.
This information of this plot was revealed by Al Ekhbariya news channel and Bahrain Daily, Akhbar Al Khaleej. Iran backed Qassem Soleimani Brigade terrorist outfit had plotted this attack. Nine out of 18 terrorists involved in this conspiracy belonged from Bahrain. These terrorists planned to attack the public places and army bases in Bahrain. Moreover, this attack was conspired at the beginning of this year, as per the information provided by the interior defence ministry.
Bahrain has the US army base of the fifth armada; also, the warships of European countries are anchored in Bahrain. Thus, it is claimed that the conspired attack was targeted at the navy and army bases. At the beginning of this year, a US attack on Iran killed the commander of Quds Force, General Qasem Soleimani and other terrorists. Following his assassination, the Iran Revolutionary Guards had threatened to attack the US army bases. Moreover, a few hours ago, a senior military official of Revolutionary Guards declared to attack the US army bases soon.
Meanwhile, the security systems in Bahrain have been alerted. Last week, after Bahrain established cooperation with Israel, Iran threatened it of grave consequences. Iran warned that Bahrain has increased security risk by smoothing ties with Israel. Against this background, the recent threat issued by the Qassem Soleimani Brigade draws attention.
