Report appreciates AI technology at one level where answers to questions can be easily found, which was impossible a decade ago. However, it draws attention to the fact that the technology can be manipulated towards a certain bias which can be misleading and with unfavourable outcomes. Therefore, the Stanford report claims these technologies could be dangerous to the world.

Opinions of 327 experts from the field of AI were taken into a record for this report. 36% of the experts claim that AI could lead to a nuclear crisis and eventually destroy mankind. The rest of the experts feel that AI could bring revolutionary societal changes. Apart from the AI experts, the general view of the US citizens is that AI could be used for anti-national activity.

The reports do not clarify how AI could cause a nuclear crisis. But the report points out that nuclear fission can be done using AI, which is a serious matter. It fears that AI and other advanced technology have been the subject of worldwide curiosity and discussion for the past few days.

A few days ago, Eliezer Yudkowsky, an expert in the field of AI, also gave a similar warning about AI. For any reason, if humans develop smart artificial intelligence with superhuman intelligence, the destruction of mankind on earth will be inevitable. There is no possibility but certainty of achieving this. Hence, there is no alternative but to stop further AI development.

Just last month, Future of Life Institute, a US-based study group, wrote an open letter to the international community about the dangers of artificial intelligence. In this, it was appealed that the ongoing big experiments and research in artificial intelligence should be stopped for six months. Over a thousand researchers, scientists, entrepreneurs, intellectuals, and political leaders have signed this. It includes prominent names Head of Tesla, Elon Musk, and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.
