Chinese President XiJinping orders the military to be ready for ‘actual combat’ – American leaders and analysts have been concerned about Chinese preparations

Beijing – Chinese President Xi Jinping ordered his army to be ready for ‘actual combat’ after organising a war exercise besieging Taiwan. President Xi Jinping instructed the People’s Liberation Army’s (PLA) Southern Theater Command to prepare to secure China’s sovereign land and maritime areas. Besides, Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen announced that if China wanted, its military was ready to respond. But Taiwan’s leaders claim that China will try to make Taiwan’s economic crisis rather than military action.

Last week, China organised a major war exercise surrounding Taiwan. The three-day war exercise included Chinese aircraft carriers, destroyers, 160 fighters, and bombers. At this time, Chinese planes and destroyers had infiltrated the territory of Taiwan. Moreover, Japan had also instructed its military to be ready after a fighter jet took off from a Chinese aircraft carrier, which caused tension in the Taiwan Strait.

Nine Chinese destroyers patrolled Taiwan’s territory even after the war exercise ended on Monday. It was claimed that these destroyers have not yet turned back. Under such circumstances, Chinese President Xi Jinping ordered his military to prepare for war against Taiwan. Simultaneously, China announced restrictions on the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Kevin McCarthy, who met Taiwan’s President Ing-wen. The US Biden administration has not reacted to China’s aggression and the sanctions imposed on its senior Senator.

But Gordon Chang, an analyst on China and an expert of the famous study group in the US, strongly criticised the stance of the Biden administration on China. Chang said that it was very scary that President Biden was cooperating with China in trade despite the threat to the security of the United States from China. Chang claimed that China was spending the money from this trade on military preparations for war against the US. Also, Gordon Chang warned that China, which has been emotional about Taiwan, can launch an attack anytime, even before 2025, which could lead to a war between the United States and China.
