Earlier too, Turkey had sent patrol boats in the sea and airspace of Greece. Therefore, Turkey, which has threatened Greece, has been criticized for violating Greece’s airspace.

Turkey criticized Greece for deploying US-gifted military vehicles to the islands. Greece accused Turkey’s warplanes and patrol boats of challenging its sovereignty. The dispute between the two NATO member countries raises tensions in the Mediterranean.
