Air Chiefs of UAE, Israel and Jordan meet

Dubai – Air Chiefs of UAE, Israel and Jordan met for the first time and held discussions on the occasion of the Air Show in Dubai. It is still not clear if the Israeli fighter jets will participate in the Air Show. But eight Israeli defence manufacturing companies are participating in the Dubai Expo.

Israel, Jordan, UAE, Air ChiefIsrael and the UAE have established cooperation in various fields since the Abraham Accords was signed last year. Against this background, the UAE invited Israel to participate in this year’s Dubai Air Show. Commander of the Israeli Air Force Major General Amikam Norkin visited the exercise and held discussions with UAE Air Force Chief Major General Ibrahim al-Alawi and the commander of the Royal Jordanian Air Force, Mohammad Hiyasat. This is the second meeting between Norkin and Alawi. Alawi had visited Israel during the Blue Flag air exercises in October.

Israeli companies Elbit Systems, IAI, Rafael, Tomar Astronautics, Nir-Or, and UVision, participate in the Dubai Expo. Representatives of Arab countries are claimed to have visited the halls of Israeli companies. At this time, an agreement was signed between IAI and Dubai Airlines of UAE.

According to the agreement, the Israeli company will convert passenger planes in the UAE into cargo planes. Elbit Systems of Israel has also reportedly signed a deal with the UAE’s security agencies.
