Threat of war looming over Russia, fear more than half of the Russian populace – Poll

Moscow: Amid the tensions rising globally, Russia plagued with the threat of war. More than half the people in Russia fear the country could call out for war against any country soon. The information came forth from a survey conducted by Russia’s ‘Levada Center’.

In the survey, 55% of the citizens in Russia said that they believed their country was facing a real possibility of the threat of war. Of these, 15 per cent of the people claimed the war was inevitable while more than half of the Russian citizens were confident that the Russian Army would be victorious in the war.
