China, Israel, National Security Advisor, US,Some senior Israeli Ministers and lawmakers have expressed concerns that Israel’s trade to be affected due to a few groups and countries opposing Israel on the issue of Palestine and Iran. Against this background, Israel had started increasing its cooperation with Asian countries, including China. China has invested heavily in the technology sector in Israel and is making consistent efforts to increase this cooperation. Last year there was a telephonic conversation between the Prime Minister of Israel and the Chinese President.

But on the other hand, it has been evident that China is using Israel only for its benefit and is trying to gain control over the Israeli technology sector. The cyberattack launched by China on Israel and the attempts to secretly acquire technology exposes China’s dual stand with Israel. At the same time, the support offered by China to Iran, the arch-enemy of Israel, is adding to the Israeli fury.

Against this background, analyst Sergio Restelli claimed in his article in the Times of Israel that the tension between the two countries could escalate. Restelli said that the assurance given by Israel to the United States that all the agreements with China will be signed only after approval from the United States seems to be an indication of the growing resentment of Israel with China.
