China will strengthen Pakistan against India using Afghanistan: former US diplomat Nikki Haley

Washington – Following the US withdrawal, the movement to hand over the Bagram airbase, in Afghanistan, to China has begun. Former US diplomat Nikki Haley has warned that China will use the base to strengthen Pakistan’s position in Afghanistan and against India. Also, after the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, the zeal of terrorist organizations has increased, which has, in turn, increased the risk of terrorist attacks, said Nikki Haley. Speaking to an American news channel, Haley lashed that these were the dire consequences of the irresponsible withdrawal ordered by Biden.

China, India, Pakistan, US, Nikki HaleyMoin ul Haq, Pakistan’s ambassador to China, announced that Pakistan and China would increase counter-terrorism cooperation in Afghanistan. But countries backing terrorists are expected to take the exact opposite actions of this declaration. Pakistan, which advocates terrorism, and China, a major supporter of it, is more likely to be keen to provide the necessary assistance to terrorists against India, not against terrorists. Nikki Haley, a former US diplomat, underlined the threat.

Moves are being made to hand over Bagram airbase, in Afghanistan, to China. The Taliban captured this crucial US base, along with weapons, military vehicles, and defence equipment. China is showing special interest in taking over this base. Currently, the Taliban need funding to run Afghanistan. China has already announced that it will provide the necessary funding to the Taliban. In return, China could demand certain things from the Taliban. This may include possession of Bagram airbase.

Bagram airbase will be taken over by China, where will establish Pakistan here. Nikki Haley warned that China would use Pakistan, against India, by providing more powers to Pakistan in Afghanistan. Haley, a former US Ambassador to the United Nations, has cautioned the Biden administration against it. Haley also briefed the Biden administration on the situation created by the US military withdrawal.

Terrorist groups are claiming victory because of the US military withdrawal. This has increased the enthusiasm of terrorist organizations, and soon, these organizations will recruit a large number of terrorists. There is also a strong possibility of lone-wolf attacks. With the possibility of a US counter-attack waning, a country like Russia could launch cyberattacks on the United States. China’s actions will have to be monitored closely, Nikki Haley warned. It is also important to believe that the United States will come running if Taiwan, Japan, Australia and India need it. Haley hopes that the Biden administration will take swift steps to establish this trust in its allies.

Meanwhile, Pakistan and China are likely to use Afghanistan against India. The Taliban has assured that it will not allow Afghan land to be used against India and any other country. But former military officials and strategic analysts urge the Indian government that the Taliban’s words cannot be trusted. At the same time, some strategic analysts suggest that India needs to continue at least some level of dialogue and discussion with the Taliban so that the Taliban does not come entirely under the influence of China and Pakistan.
