Seoul: President Yoon Suk-yeol has been criticised after five North Korean drones directly entered South Korea’s airspace without any resistance. By accepting the responsibility, the President of South Korea admitted that his country was not ready for a war against North Korea. Simultaneously, President Yeol suggested that South Korea would have to increase its power greatly and urgently for the war against North Korea.

In 2022, North Korea test-fired more than 90 ballistic and medium-range missiles, creating tension in the region. In response to this action by North Korea, South Korea increased the intensity of military exercises with the help of the United States. South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol was claimed to have taken a more aggressive stance. But a military operation by North Korea on Monday has put South Korean President Yeol in a quandary.

On Monday, five North Korean drones entered South Korea’s airspace from different areas and conducted surveillance. After receiving information about the infiltration, South Korea dispatched fighter jets and drove the North Korean drones away. A fighter jet crashed while targeting a drone. The struggle continued for about seven hours, which increased the intensity of criticism of the South Korean President. South Korea dispatched drones into North Korean territory in the next few hours. At the same time, a plan of 44 crore dollars was also presented against the infiltration of North Korean drones.

But after criticism from political opponents and military analysts, President Yeol admitted that his country was not militarily prepared for a war against North Korea. Simultaneously, President Yeol announced increasing surveillance and espionage against North Korea in the coming times.
