Sergei Shoigu arrives in Donbas after Ukrainian army receives US M270

Moscow/Kyiv: The Ukrainian military has received the M270 missile system sent by the United States. As per the indications, the Ukrainian military will use the system to initiate attacks on the Russian military. Before this, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu visited the Donbas region. Defence Minister Shoigu instructed the Russian military to make swift movements and launch decisive attacks to eliminate the striking capabilities of the Ukrainian military. Therefore, indications are that a more destructive stage has started in the Ukraine conflict.

Moreover, M270, a missile system falling in the Long-Range Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) category, has reached the Ukrainian military. Its use will start soon. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has demanded advanced weapons from the United States and other western countries under the pretext that Ukraine needs advanced weapons to fight against Russia. The United States had announced a supply of weapons worth billions of dollars to Ukraine. Russia had warned that this would have serious consequences. Accordingly, while the Ukrainian military was receiving the M270 system, the Russian Defence Minister visited the Donbas region.

During his visit, Defence Minister Shoigu met General Sergei Surovikin and Colonel-General Alexander Lapin of the Russian army. Defence Minister Shoigu instructed the Russian military to rapidly take the Russian mission forward before the Ukrainian retaliation started and targeted the region’s infrastructure. Defence Minister Shoigu honoured Colonel-General Alexander Lapin and Major General Esedulla Abachev with ‘Gold Star’ medals for the courage and heroism shown in the Ukraine conflict.

Meanwhile, the conflict, which started on the 24th of February, seems to be becoming more destructive. Russia has already warned that it will have serious consequences if the United States supplied weapons to Ukraine. Russia also warned that the United States should not think that the United States will not feel the heat of repercussions. Russian President Vladimir Putin had even reprimanded the Ukrainian leadership in stern words.

President Putin said that although the Russian military campaign started in Ukraine, the conflict has not started yet. President Putin had pointed out that Russia has not still used its entire military might against Ukraine. Russia had accused the United States of supplying weapons to Ukraine only to extend the conflict. Russia also pointed out that the biggest losses will be suffered only by Ukraine.
