Tehran: 41 soldiers of the Revolutionary guards were killed in a terrorist suicide bomb explosion in the Sistan-Baluchistan province of Iran. As per received information, the bus carrying the Revolutionary Guard soldiers was targeted by the suicide bomber. Jaish-ul-Adl, the terrorist organisation with bases near the Iran-Pakistan border, accepted the responsibility of the attack. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has warned of avenging the attack.
The attack was carried out on the road connecting Zahedan and Khash cities in the Sistan-Baluchistan province, connecting Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan. The Jaish-ul-Adl group, involved in drug trafficking on the Iran-Pakistan border and abduction of Iranian soldiers, has not given any reason for the attack. This is the second attack on the soldiers of Revolutionary Guards, in southern Iran, in the last one month.
Though the Pakistan based terror group has accepted the responsibility of the attack, Iran has blamed the United States and Israel for the attack. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has accused that the mercenary soldiers of the United States and Israel have carried out this attack on the soldiers of Revolutionary Guards. Rouhani accused that the terrorist having support from the United States and Israel are carrying out these attacks in Iran. Rouhani also alleged that the United States and Israel are receiving support from some wealthy allies in the Middle East, putting the blame on Saudi Arabia and other Arab allies of the United States.
The Iranian President announced that there will be a strong retaliation against the attack on the soldiers of the Revolutionary Guards and the attack will be avenged. Rouhani also lashed out at Pakistan saying that the country should not shelter terrorist organisations. Just like Rouhani, the terrorist organisation Hezbollah, from Lebanon, also has blamed the United States and Israel for the attack on the soldiers of Revolutionary Guards.
This terror attack has once again brought the question of terrorist organisations in Pakistan, to the fore. Even in the past, these terrorist organisations have abducted and killed Iranian soldiers. This had also affected the relations between the two countries. It is clear that the relations between Iran and Pakistan will deteriorate further, after the Wednesday attack.
