100,000 new Coronavirus cases in the world in 24 hours

Washington: More than 5,000 patients of Coronavirus died in the world in the last 24 hours, and during the same time, there was an addition of more than 100,000 new cases reported from 212 countries. The consolation is that more than 2.5 million patients have recovered fully. But the ever-increasing number of Coronavirus cases in the world is becoming a cause for concern. The Coronavirus is spreading very rapidly in the United States, Brazil, Russia and India.

As per information released by John Hopkins University, Worldometer and World Health Organisation, 358,426 patients have died in the pandemic. These include 5,186 deaths reported in the last 24 hours. Out of these, 1,535 deaths were reported from the United States, where the number of deaths has crossed the 100,000 mark. This is the first time in the last four days that the number of deaths in the United States has passed 1,500. Whereas 1,086 deaths were reported from Brazil in one day, and this is the second successive day of reporting more than a thousand deaths. 

The total number of Coronavirus cases has reached 5,833,766. In the last 24 hours, 103,000 new cases were reported, and it is the second time in this week that more than 100,000 cases were reported in a day. In the last 24 hours, more than 20,000 cases were reported each from the United States and Brazil. The Coronavirus cases have increased by 16,000 in Europe. The health organisation in the African continent claimed that the number of cases in Africa is rapidly growing. There are 125,000 Coronavirus cases in Africa, and there are 25,000 cases in South Africa alone.

Meanwhile, new cases were reported even on Thursday in the second wave of Coronavirus in China and South Korea. South Korea reported 79 new cases in one day. Given the growing number of Coronavirus cases, the South Korean administration has once again imposed social distancing norms. But it is claimed that the Coronavirus pandemic is playing havoc in North Korea, a neighbour of South Korea. But the dictatorial rulers have not revealed the actual numbers of cases and deaths. But since the last few days, western countries have started closing their embassies in North Korea and calling the staff back home.
