More than 7,000 Coronavirus deaths around the world in 24 hours 

Washington: In the last 24 hours, Coronavirus claimed more than 7,000 lives across the globe. The virus claimed 3,856 lives in the United States alone and President Trump expressed concerns over the situation. Following the United States, it was the United Kingdom which reported maximum number of deaths. The number of cases in Russia also are increasing rapidly.

Coronavirus has claimed 156,234 lives in the world till date and the maximum number of deaths have been reported from the United States. At the same time, the number of cases in the United States also has increased substantially. In the last 24 hours, more than 25,000 new cases have been reported in the United States. The pandemic is on a rampage in the state of New York and it has claimed more than 14,000 lives there.  

The pandemic claimed 888 lives in the United Kingdom on Friday and the total number of deaths in the country has reached 15,646. More than 21,000 people were screened in the United Kingdom on Friday and the British government informed that more than 350,000 people have been tested for Coronavirus, till date. 

In the last 24 hours, the number of deaths reported were 761 in France, 575 in Italy and 565 in Spain. The number of Coronavirus cases in France has reached 150,000. In Italy, 3,493 new cases of Coronavirus have been reported. Whereas, the Spanish government announced that 40% of the patients have been discharged from the hospitals. 

Meanwhile, the number of deaths in Africa have crossed 1,000. The Coronavirus spread is increasing in the African countries of Algiers, Egypt, Morocco and South Africa.
