Corona cases in India cross 420,000

New Delhi/Mumbai: – 15,413 new Coronavirus cases were reported from the country in 24 hours. This took the total number of Coronavirus cases in the country to 410,461, whereas by night, the number had crossed 420,000. Maharashtra reported 3,870 cases, Delhi 3,000 and Tamil Nadu reported 2,532 new Coronavirus cases. On Sunday, the total number of Coronavirus cases reported, only from these three states was 9,402.

The graph for the number of Coronavirus cases in the country is rising. Since the last ten days, more than 10,000 new cases are being consistently reported every day. It took 64 days for the total number of cases to reach from 100 to 100,000. In the next 15 days, the number doubled. Whereas, the subsequent addition of 100,000 cases was in only ten days, and the next 100,000 was added in just eight days. Currently, more than 15,000 new cases are being reported per day in the country. Fears are being expressed that looking at this speed, the number of Coronavirus cases will have crossed 500,000 in the next five or six days.

The number of Coronavirus tests has been increased in the country. 20,68,000 tests were conducted in the first 20 days of June. 1,90,000 tests were conducted in the 24 hours, ending on Sunday morning. But the comforting news that the rate of recovery has reached 55.48% is also being received. Till date, 227,000 patients have recovered fully. Every day, nearly 13,000 patients are returning home, after being discharged from the medical facilities.

Meanwhile, Coronavirus claimed 101 lives in Maharashtra on Sunday. Delhi reported 63 deaths and Tamil Nadu reported 53 deaths. This has taken the total number of Coronavirus deaths in the country to 13,254. But it is clear from the information published by the states that the total number of fatalities had crossed 13,500 by night.
