New Delhi: The number of deaths in the country crossed 850, whereas the number of cases in the country crossed 27,000. 19 patients died in the state of Maharashtra and 440 new cases were added. This takes the total number of cases in Maharashtra to over 8,000. 13 deaths were reported from Mumbai and 324 new cases were reported.
The number of Coronavirus cases in the country is increasing by the day. 1975 new cases were reported between Saturday evening to Sunday evening. 1752 cases were reported in the country on 24th April. After that, within the next three days, a new record has been set for several new cases reported in a day. As per the information given by the union health ministry, there have been 826 deaths and 26,917 cases in the country. But this information is based on the data available till Sunday evening and does not include the number of new cases, reported by the various states during the day.
As per the information revealed by the Maharashtra health ministry, there were 440 new cases reported in the state. 230 new cases have been reported even from Gujarat. Delhi reported 97, whereas, Rajasthan reported 69 new cases. The total number of deaths in the country has crossed 850 and the number of cases has crossed 27,500.
Meanwhile, one more policeman died due to Coronavirus, in the state of Maharashtra, taking the count to two. The Maharashtra state government announced a compensation of ₹5 million to the next of kin of the policemen and one from the family would be offered a government job.
