Seoul/Paris: Aggressive Chinese activities in the Indo-Pacific region are increasing tensions. In such a situation, the dictator of North Korea, Kim Jong-un, declared that his country was armed with nuclear weapons. By saying that this decision cannot be reversed, Kim Jong-un ruled out the possibility of nuclear non-proliferation. At the same time, North Korea has also passed a law to launch nuclear strikes on the adversary country if its dictator is killed or his death is suspicious. Leading countries like the United States and France have reacted that this new law and the North Korean declaration are a significant threat to the peace in the region.

On Thursday, the North Korean dictator announced that his country is nuclear-armed in the presence of his officials. Kim Jong-un warned that nuclear non-proliferation is impossible, with the new North Korea saying ‘North Korea is now a nuclear-armed country. Some irreversible changes must be made to the country’s nuclear weapons policy. These changes would form a non-negotiable stance regarding North Korean nuclear weapons. North Korean dictator has vowed that even if sanctions are imposed on his country for 100 years, he will not give up his nuclear weapons options.

At the same time, in 2013, our country also amended the rules passed regarding nuclear weapons. Accordingly, North Korea’s leadership has been empowered to use nuclear weapons. The new rule states that if Kim Jong-un is assassinated, his death is suspicious, or North Korean security is threatened, it can launch a nuclear attack on enemy countries. Of course, the dictator of North Korea has warned that North Korea can start a nuclear war against its enemy at any moment.

In the last year, North Korea has increased the tension in the Korean region by launching a series of missile tests. North Korea claimed to target cities in the Far East of the United States.
