Kabul: The Afghan security agencies have arrested the mastermind of the terror attack that was carried out on the Kabul University. It has become clear with this arrest that the Haqqani network of the Taliban carried out the attack. More details have not been revealed. A few days ago, the news report, citing sources from the Indian intelligence agencies, had claimed that the Pakistani ISI was behind the attack. Adil’s family resides in the Pul-e-Charkhi area in Kabul. Adil has been reported missing for the last three years. There were rumours that he had travelled abroad for studies. But in reality, he had joined the Haqqani network. Vice President Saleh claimed that he confessed to having carried out this attack during interrogation. Adil admitted that this attack was carried out to pressurise and weaken the Afghan government. It has been revealed that he procured weapons from the Haqqani network in Khost Province. But the Haqqani network has dismissed the claim and said that Adil is not a member of the Haqqani network.

Meanwhile, as per claim made in a report quoting the Indian intelligence agencies, the hand of the terrorist organisation IS is being revealed in the attack. IS, in association with the other terrorist organisations, is carrying out terror attacks in Afghanistan. These attacks are being carried out to increase the pressure to ensure that the United States reaches a final solution with the Taliban and the group’s participation in the government. The report says that the Indian intelligence agencies have warned of an increase in such attacks shortly.
