The Israeli defence forces have prepared for massive exercises taking this threat into account. The special forces of the Israeli military have left for Cyprus for this purpose. Information is being received that the Israeli forces will be practising attacks on Hezbollah with a direct invasion of Lebanon.

During these exercises, Israel also practised targeting Hezbollah locations in Lebanon. Assessment by the Israeli forces following the simulation has revealed certain things. Israel’s military claims that Hezbollah has at least 150,000 rockets and missiles ready to launch attacks on Israeli cities far away from the border. Hezbollah can launch 1,500 rockets per day on Israel in the current scenario. 80 Israeli cities and locations could be targeted in this conflict that will last long. The Israeli military had inferred that 300 Israeli lives would be lost in these attacks.

Against this background, the special forces unit of the Israeli defence forces has been despatched to Cyprus to prepare for a war against Hezbollah. The Chariots of Fire exercises will target the main Hezbollah locations and leaders with an invasion into Lebanon. Israeli helicopters will also be participating in the exercises. This is the first of a kind exercise for the Israeli military.
