Israel prepares for a war against Hezbollah - despatches special forces to

Jerusalem: The Israeli military had warned that if a war is sparked with Hezbollah, 1,500 rockets may shower on Israeli cities per day in the coming times. This could cause hundreds of casualties. The Israeli defence forces have prepared for massive exercises taking this threat into account. The special forces of the Israeli military have left for Cyprus for this purpose. Information is being received that the Israeli forces will be practising attacks on Hezbollah with a direct invasion of Lebanon.

The Israeli defence forces have been carrying out the Chariot of Fire exercises for the last few days. Targeting extremely important locations in Iran is being practised in these exercises scheduled to last for a month. At the same time, exercises to target the Iran affiliated terrorist organisations posing a threat to Israeli security will also be carried out. During these exercises, Israel also practised targeting Hezbollah locations in Lebanon. Assessment by the Israeli forces following the simulation has revealed certain things. Israel’s military claims that Hezbollah has at least 150,000 rockets and missiles ready to launch attacks on Israeli cities far away from the border. Hezbollah can launch 1,500 rockets per day on Israel in the current scenario. 80 Israeli cities and locations could be targeted in this conflict that will last long. The Israeli military had inferred that 300 Israeli lives would be lost in these attacks.

Against this background, the special forces unit of the Israeli defence forces has been despatched to Cyprus to prepare for a war against Hezbollah. The Chariots of Fire exercises will target the main Hezbollah locations and leaders with an invasion into Lebanon. Israeli helicopters will also be participating in the exercises. This is the first of a kind exercise for the Israeli military.

Meanwhile, Israel and Hezbollah have exchanged threats for the last few days. It is claimed that three members of Hezbollah were killed in the airstrike carried out by Israel in Syria. Infuriated with this, Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah threatened Israel with dire consequences. The Middle Eastern media had claimed that Iran and Hezbollah are preparing to start a fresh war against Israel.

Israel has issued vitriolic warnings against the rocket attack threats issued by Hezbollah and Palestinian terrorist organisations. Israeli defence forces had warned that there would be an unprecedented retaliation if Hezbollah launched such attacks. Indications are that the exercises being held in the northern part of Israel and Cyprus by the Israeli defence forces are preparing for this retaliation.
