Israel and Arab countries’ conspiracy behind the situation in Sudan, accuses former Qatar PM

Kabul – Israel and the Arab world are responsible for the military uprising in Sudan and the situation created after that. But Anwar Gargash, political adviser to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) President, dismissed former Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad’s claims.

It was reported that General Burhan had kept Prime Minister Hamdok at an undisclosed location. Following mounting international pressure, the Sudanese army chief announced that Prime Minister Hamdok has been released. But it was alleged that Hamdok was placed under house arrest by the military.

Sudan’s citizens have started protests against the army that overthrew the democratic government. Concerns are being raised internationally over the situation in Sudan. Two years ago, Hamdok and the Sudanese military had joined forces to overthrow the then Sudanese dictator Omar al-Bashir. A democratic government was then formed in Sudan. Under such circumstances, former Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim al-Thani blamed Israel and the Arab world for the uprising in Sudan and the subsequent developments.

‘Everything that happened in Sudan and what is happening now is the result of Israel’s planning, coordination, and cooperation and the Arab countries,’ former Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad said. Sheikh Hamad claimed that he did not disclose this fact to gain publicity in the media. Sheikh Hamad refrained from naming the Arab country. But it is claimed that he is pointing to the UAE. Certain groups have strongly supported Sheikh Hamad’s allegations on social media.

Anwar Gargash, the political adviser to UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, later refuted the former Qatari prime minister’s claims without taking names. ‘After losing his political position and being found guilty of treason and conspiracy, the person concerned wants to return to the government. This is the reason the person is making absurd accusations,’ Gargash remarked against Sheikh Hamad.

Meanwhile, Sudan’s sacked Prime Minister Hamdok, like the UAE and Bahrain, established cooperation with Israel by entering the Abraham Accords a few months ago. Hamdok’s decision is claimed to be the reason behind the military uprising in Sudan.
