Iran will not bind to US-Iran interim nuclear deal – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

interim nuclear dealTel Aviv – News regarding the US Biden administration trying to make an interim nuclear agreement with Iran has been issued in the last few days. The Biden administration indicates that an interim nuclear deal will be the best option to stop Iran’s nuclear programme. Because of this, Iran’s confidence has increased, and Iran’s leaders have been making aggressive statements about the nuclear programme, which Israel seems to be taking seriously. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that Israel will not be bound by the nuclear deal with Iran even if the US signs it.

The US and other Western countries signed a nuclear deal with Iran in 2015. But, as soon as Donald Trump became the President, the US withdrew from this nuclear deal. After this, the agreement remained suspended. Now the Biden administration has been again trying to end the issue of Iran’s controversial nuclear programme by making an interim nuclear agreement with Iran. Israel has alleged that the Biden administration’s Iran policy has been biased and that President Biden has completely been ignoring the threat from Iran. It had been clear even earlier that there were sharp differences between President Biden and PM Netanyahu on this issue.

In such a situation, Prime Minister Netanyahu again warned that entering a new nuclear agreement with Iran would be wrong. If the US makes an interim nuclear agreement with Iran, then no one can stop Iran from making nuclear bombs. On the contrary, this agreement will lift the sanctions on Iran, and consequently, the country will get more money, and Iran’s nuclear programme will be more dynamic, warned the Israeli Prime Minister.

For this reason, Israel will not be bound to this nuclear deal that the US makes with Iran. Netanyahu has asserted that Israel will not sit idly by without taking necessary actions for its security. Even before this, he had warned that Israel would not allow Iran to develop nuclear under any circumstances. The Prime Minister said Israel was ready to pay any price for this. On the other hand, the Israeli Prime Minister and other leaders have been warning that Iran has come very close to making a nuclear bomb. As such, there have been indications that Israel will soon attack Iran’s nuclear projects.

It has also become distinct that the Biden administration has been pressurising Israel not to take such action against Iran. But, the Israeli government is not at all worried about it. Moreover, there have been claims that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s recent visit to Israel has surfaced the sharp differences between the two countries. Against this background, the Israeli Prime Minister’s warning to the US regarding the interim nuclear deal with Iran draws attention.
