Iran will meet Energy needs of Europe if West lifts sanctions

Tehran – Iran’s Foreign Ministry announced that ‘European countries are facing problems in providing the energy they need, and if the negotiations are successful and the unilateral sanctions against our country are lifted, Iran can meet a larger part of Europe’s needs.’ Iran increased the pressure on the Biden administration by saying that Iran’s role in this negotiation has been completed, and now the US has to make a decision. The Prime Minister of Israel had claimed that Israel is increasing pressure on the US over the Iran nuclear issue. After that, Iran made this claim.

Last month, an actual urgent meeting between the US and Iranian representatives was held in Vienna, brokered by the European Union. After this meeting, Joseph Borrell, the Head of the Foreign Policy of the Federation, instructed the US and Iran to inform their decision regarding the nuclear deal. Last week, Iran submitted its proposal for a nuclear deal to the UN. The United States and the European Union had expressed displeasure that Iran’s proposal led to the withdrawal of the nuclear deal.

But Iran, which has so far avoided talking about its proposal, reacted for the first time on Monday. ‘The complete removal of sanctions imposed against the government and people of Iran is the main goal of the current negotiations between Iran and the signatories of the JCPOA. Various meetings have been held, and the last round was held in Vienna, and after that, the proposed text was given to the negotiating parties by the coordinator of the European Union,’ said Nasser Kanaani, the spokesperson of the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

Based on its capabilities and capacities, Iran has maintained its presence in the energy market even under the shadow of the toughest sanctions. A guarantee is necessary for Iran from the Biden administration before this nuclear deal can be done. Iran’s Foreign Ministry has accused that the US may violate the nuclear deal once again if there are no guarantees. Also, Iran has played a crucial role in this nuclear deal and now the decision to make the nuclear deal successful depends on the US. Iran’s Foreign Ministry has responded that if the US has the political will and the ability to make decisions, the nuclear deal will definitely succeed.

Iranian media have accused the Biden administration of delaying the nuclear deal as it lacks decision-making capacity. Also, Iran’s leaders have warned that Iran may use different options if the West procrastinates on the nuclear deal. Iran’s leaders also warn that no nuclear agreement will be made to violate Iran’s authority and exceed its limits.

Fuel prices on the international market have rumbled due to steps taken by the US to target Russia’s fuel exports due to the conflict in Ukraine.
